Now we’d like to welcome you to Norwegian Epic: NCL’s incredible ship that reinvents cruising once again. Experience the many exciting, new entertainment options and amazing nightlife, including the first true ice bar at sea.

Welcome to the next generation of Freestyle Cruising: Norwegian Epic.
When you’re Freestyle Cruising® aboard Norwegian Epic, your schedule is the only schedule we insist you keep. And boredom is the only option we refuse to offer.

For starters, there’s the amazing new Ice Bar, literally one of the coolest places in the world. There are chic private clubs, as well as a traditional supper club, NCL’s famous White Hot Party and so much more. During the day, there’s our huge Aqua Park, Sports Complex, squash court, rock-climbing wall, fitness center, world-class spa, two 3-lane bowling alleys and our two-story Wii™. Norwegian Epic

World-class entertainment is Norwegian Epic’s hallmark.  For the first time at sea, Blue Man Group performs their exhilarating fusion of comedy, theatrics and paint, exclusively on Norwegian Epic.  In the only “big top” at sea, Cirque Dreams and Dinner  presents a one-of-a-kind interactive theatrical dining experience with music, mayhem and acrobatic imagination.  Legends in Concert, the original and world’s greatest live tribute show, is featured for the first time at sea in more than a decade on Norwegian Epic, along with The Second City improvisational comedy and Howl at the Moon, the world’s greatest rock ‘n roll dueling piano show that encourages audience participation.

In addition to world-class entertainment, the 4,100-passenger Norwegian Epic incorporates many innovations including several new types of accommodations – the curved New Wave staterooms; the largest Villas suite complex at sea, comprising 60 suites and villas on two private decks at the top of the ship; and spa and family-friendly accommodations.  The ship also boasts unique nightlife options with the first Ice Bar at sea and Spice H20 with non-stop entertainment day and night; an expansive Aqua Park with the only tube slide and largest bowl slide at sea -- The Epic Plunge; seven decks of Freestyle Family Fun with highlights including a 33-foot high, 64-foot wide extreme rock climbing wall and the first ever rappelling wall at sea; the most bowling lanes at sea with six in two venues; a mixed-use sports deck with the ability for guests to engage in eight different athletic activities; as well as three separate kids’ and teen activity areas.  In addition, Nickelodeon-themed elements also are incorporated into Norwegian’s Kids’ Crew program. Each cruise features live Nickelodeon-themed interactive game shows, including: SlimeTime LIVE! with Nick’s signature slime; Nick Live! Poolside entertainment; character breakfasts and meet and greets; Nick-themed dance parties; and more.  Norwegian Epic offers the next generation of Freestyle Dining with 20 dining choices and 20 bars and lounges.

While individual reservations for the Norwegian Epic won't open for another month, I've received access to the deck plans and the ability to make group bookings immediately!

There are a number of surprises in these deck plans, such as "studio" staterooms with some exclusive features, and of course the increasingly-popular Spa stateroom categories.

"Since this ship is our largest and most innovative Freestyle Cruising vessel to date, we've taken a fresh approach to our stateroom mix, offering niche accommodations such as our family and spa categories, along with creative, ground-breaking design as evidenced by The Studios with Living Room and largest ever Courtyard Villa complex," said Kevin Sheehan, NCL's CEO.

According to NCL, the new Studio staterooms are designed with the budget-conscious traveler in mind and were created to maximize space, as the Studios are slightly smaller than standard inside staterooms. Each studio can sleep up to two people and features a large, round window that looks out into the corridor, along with customizable color changing light effects that mirror different stages of the day. Guests can also change the light by mood settings, such as the love setting.

The 128 Studios occupy decks 11 and 12 and Studio guests have exclusive key-card access to the Living Room, a two-story lounge area featuring a concierge, bar, room service, two large TV screens, a quiet reading section and comfortable seating for hanging out.

The Epic also has spa balconies, deluxe balcony staterooms and suites within the spa for the first time. Guests in the 39 Spa suites, which feature a unique look and feel, will have complimentary 24-hour access to the ship's thermal suite and fitness center. In addition, eight of the spa suites each feature an in-room whirlpool.

Norwegian Epic's ship-within-in-a-ship complex comprises 60 suites and villas spanning two private decks (decks 16 and 17) at the top of the ship. The suite category choices include Courtyard Villas, Penthouse Suites and Deluxe Owner's Suites. Guests staying in one of these suites have exclusive access to the Courtyard Villa, which features a pool, two whirlpools, gym, saunas, sundeck, the Uber bar, a concierge lounge and indoor/outdoor dining.

Norwegian Cruise Line's popular family-friendly staterooms are available on the Epic as well. The majority of the staterooms, both deluxe balcony and balcony, many that connect, are on two decks close to an expanded Kids Crew facility. The family staterooms feature Norwegian's signature New Wave design.
