ABOUT THE SEMINAR
Immediacy and same day implant dentistry has created a surge in the innumerable numbers of edentulations – a new dental terminology that may be frowned upon by some and seen as an innovative therapeutic modality by others. What used to be prosthetically driven has become prosthesis driven. Technology is also causing some confusion regarding the sequence and timing of these reconstructions.
Course Content
This presentation aims toward creating a workflow for practitioners to address specific needs of our patients rather than utilizing boiler templates that is guided by laboratories and digital companies looking to capitalize on dentists’ inability to diagnose treatment modalities. Workflow for immediate loading will be emphasized.
A step-by-step sequencing of the diagnostic records, pre surgical planning, surgical techniques and post-surgical prosthetic sequencing will be illustrated in detail. When guides will be indicated and when free hand gets to be superior will also be discussed.
Learning Objectives
At the completion of the program, participants should be able to:
- Help practitioners decide on predictable treatment options that will benefit patients through measurable outcomes.
- Help decide when Crown and Bridge, or all on X type of reconstructions would be ideal.
- Answer the question, can immediate loading be recommended for everyone?
- Know when conformative dentistry is good enough over full reconstructions.
- Know how to predict failures before they surface and manage complications.
- When and how to plan for guides and digital work flow.
- Understand digital impressions and prosthetic material choices.
- Occlusal concepts in full mouth reconstruction.
