ABOUT THE SEMINAR
Opportunities for providing quality eye care continue to professionally and personally reward the clinical practitioner. Technological advances, both medical and surgical, coupled with the demographics of an aging population, create such opportunities for optometrists who desire to be the best provider of primary and secondary eye care services for their patients. Interact with fellow practitioners and gain clinical perspectives in assessing and managing a variety of ocular disorders affecting eye health and vision. A variety of ocular disease conditions from front to back of the eye are presented and discussed in an open forum amongst attendees and speaker to enhance the learning experience.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Dr. Maynard Pohl is a Clinical Consultant in the greater Seattle area and an Adjunct Assistant Clinical Professor at Pacific University College of Optometry. Previously he served 33 years as Clinical Director at Pacific Cataract & Laser Institute in Bellevue, WA, an optometric consultation and ambulatory surgical center specializing in medical and surgical eye care. Dr. Pohl, originally from Alberta, Canada, graduated from Indiana University School of Optometry and completed his residency in Hospital-Based Geriatric Optometry at the VA Medical Centers in Vancouver, WA and Portland, OR. Thereafter he served as the initial staff optometrist at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle and was appointed Clinical Instructor in the Department of Ophthalmology. He is board certified in Medical Optometry, a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and a Founding Fellow of the Optometric Retina Society. Dr. Pohl is a national and international lecturer and contributing author on topics of ocular disease comanagement.
