Learning Objectives
Provide doctors with practical and modern treatment for common ocular diagnoses. The use of case reports will follow the diagnostic work-up and the management options for treating patients therefore allowing the attendee to gain more clinical confidence in their assessment and treatment. The attendee will be able to have a better understanding of the different options and advances in managing patients with a variety of common clinical challenges. The participants will be able to make informed choices on the use of various ophthalmic options and treatment modalities, that may be outside or inside the box. Furthermore, doctors will understand their role in the management of surgical procedures for their patients.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Dr. Bloomenstein is the Director of Optometric Services at the Schwartz Laser Eye Center in Scottsdale, Arizona and President of MRB Eye Consultants. Furthermore, he is the Chairman of the Education Committee for Vision Expo. Dr. Bloomenstein served as the Chairman of the AOA Continuing Education Committee and served on the board of the Ocular Surface Society of Optometry (OSSO), as well as a founding member of the Optometric Cornea, Cataract, and Refractive Society (OCCRS). Dr. Bloomenstein has also served as the President of the Arizona Optometric Association, Legislation Chair and President of the Board of the Arizona Optometric Charitable Foundation. Dr. Bloomenstein has delivered over 1500 invited lectures worldwide, served as a principal investigator in over 25 clinical trial and consultants with numerous industry-leading pharmaceutical, biomedical and information technology companies.
